| | | | | This trek is very ideal for the novice and less experienced, as it is as much easier than the rest of the treks in Ladakh . It is a milder trek, which is avery convenient trek for people of old age .Sham trek passes through many villages like Likir , Yangthang, Hemis-Shukpachan , Temisgam .You will come across monasteries like Likir ,Rizong and Temisgam Nunnery . In this region you will have more chance to interact and observe the locals lifestyle of Ladakhi people. | |

| Day 1: Leh –Likir –Yangthang (Duration 4-5 hrs.) After visiting Likir Monastery you start the trek and cross over the Pobe La . Enroute trek passes the lonely village of Sumdo. Further along a valley and trek to reach Cha gates La (4200m) and then arrive Yangthang village .overnight at Yangthang . | | Day 2: Yangthang –Rizong monastery –Yangthang (Duration 5-6 hrs.) It is a beautifully set monastery, at the top and of a narrow valley. The sheer isolation of the monastery provides for a better practice of the monastic disciplanes for which this geylug pa order Gonpa is known for .overnight at Yangthang | | Day 3: Yangthang –Hemis Shukpachan (Duration 4-5 hrs.) Trek along Wullu valley after coming over Shemchan La arrive at the village of Hemis Shukpachan . This village is popular throygh out Ladakh for its aromatic Shukpa (Cedar) which is use as incense for religious purposes. | | Day 4: Hemis Shukpacahn to Temisgam (Duration 4-5 hrs.) Trek through the Ang village enter Temisgam village , the famous village of Ladakh which is known for its apricot ,apples and walnuts .You can visit the ancient palace of Temisgam surrounded by ruined buildings.camp at Temisgam . | | Day 5: Temisgam –Khalsey- Leh (Duration 4-5 hrs) After breakfast proceed towards Tia village and crossing bridge and ascend towards Bongbong La. from the pass descend all the way to Bhalu khar on Leh –Srinager highway. You will be picked up by car at this point an further drive to leh . | |
